The massive earthquake that hit Boulder Colorado was a tragedy that the Trevor Hampton campaign dealt with in a three step plan: Immediate relief, aftermath, and long term. Immediate relief is the day of and two days fallowing this event, for this stage we got in contact with cops, firefighters, and medical personnel from surrounding cities to help, next we assessed the damage to the roads and found the best path with the least obstruction so we could get transportation up and running again. We needed buildings to convert into shelters, food banks, and hospitals so we looked for any government buildings that were still intact. Thanks to the benevolent people of boulder there were privately owned building whose owners were kind enough to lend to us so we could make them into relief buildings. For every citizen who needed more extensive care than what could be provided at the emergency hospitals we transported to other cities. In the aftermath stage which is the two weeks fallowing the earthquake we focused on getting power pluming and roads working. We also made an ad campaign stressing volunteering and the fact that Boulder is its people not a place, the slogan for this ad campaign was "Building Boulder Better". This ad campaign had a bit of an upstart cost but in the long term was very cheap because we got free labor from it; however, free labor wasn't the only up side to that campaign as it also brought boulder together in a time where some people had lost everything. In the long term step of this plan we focused on getting trades and construction crews out and working to make the city look better than it did before.
