One thing I feel very strong about is the death penalty. I feel that the death penalty is wrong. At the end of the day it is just murder. How are we supposed to teach people not to murder, by murdering. No matter what a person has done, it should not cost them their life. A person can be changed around. Do not get me wrong, I think crime severe punishment is. However, the death penalty too far. Ending a person's life over a series of mistakes, that we as people could have helped. This is one thing that I would like to change in office. I've wanted to be able to help people that are in the darkest place. They committed a series of awful crimes, and this person should be punished, but they should not have to pay for life. It is not our job to decide when a person's life is over. Instead, we should try to unite all people, so that whole different crimes happen so there is no way to get rid of all the crimes. However there is a way to limit them. Instead of trying to seem like a group of hating people, let's go to them with open arms, ready to help them. we should help people, not kill them all because they were too much to deal with. A person's life is something that cannot be recreated. Every person has one of them, and every person has an unknown amount of days they have with them, if they mess up bad in their lifetime, don't let that ruin their entire life. I am not saying get rid of life sentencing, but I am saying taking an eye for an eye does not work. Whenever America would be in a war, things would always be better and then they help a country recover, instead of leaving them out to rot. All of us have made mistakes in our lives. Some worse than others no doubt, but they are still humans that deserve to be treated like a human, and not a wild animal to a person can be changed. A Lot of time horrendous crimes do not just pop up. They come from a string of emotions built up over time. Let's start helping those in a bad spot, instead of throwing them away we need people like them in the world because they can teach others lessons from their lives .
